wakizashi -produced in Bungo Province,
approximately in 1550 A.D. according to David E. J. Pepin a world renown
expert on the subject matter who analyzed this sword for us back in 1990.
The blade is mu-mei (unsigned). Length of blade (nagasa) is 18 3/8
inches. The length of tang (nakago) is 4 3/8 inches. I hope
the photos speak for themselves as we certainly are not experts on the
subject. Although, I might add that the blade is very straight
and extremely sharp!
